For all the reasons typed out in the picture above and so many more I LOVE FALL!
Someone recently confessed to me that FALL is their least favorite season. Listing reasons of dormancy, hunting season, rain and fog more likely, difficulty making clothing choices as it’s chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon, the ending of summer and all that goes with it to name a few.
Here are a few reasons I LOVE this time of year!
As a person who lives cold, even during Louisiana summers, I love the crisp fall air!
My baby girl was born in October. I’ll never forget her first Halloween. She was jaundiced and dressed as a pumpkin at 11 days old. What a tiny bundle of joy! The beginning of Fall always reminds me of the beginning of my motherhood!
LSU FOOTBALL! Need I say more! GEAUX Tigers!!!!
Fall marks the beginning of constant decorating and redecorating. Halloween transforms to Fall. Fall to Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving comes down and Christmas goes up. After Christmas is Valentines then on to Mardi Gras, followed up by St. Patricks Day and Easter. After Easter we just have basic household decor. Blah! That when I start moving furniture. My step mother calls it “design without the dime”. Decorating for all the seasons is just an absolute must for me! Buying decorations at the end of the season, I always look forward to opening my plastic bins to see what I bought at 75% – 90% off the previous year!
Baking, stocking the freezer with venison and the anticipation of preparing my favorite meal of the year— Thanksgiving.
My new favorite? Black Friday — Internet or in store. Depending upon the deals but either way I look forward to it!
More time off from school— I always love when the kids are here with me!
Happy Monday — just a quick post!
I would love to hear from you! What do you like or dislike about fall?
